Bollywood actor Neetu Kapoor, on Friday, took to her Instagram account to remember and commemorate her late husband Rishi Kapoor, who would have completed 50 years in the Indian film industry.
Sharing a picture collage of Rishi, Neetu Kapoor wrote, “Mera naam joker released on 18th dec. 1970 .. today would have been his 50 years in the indian film industry #rishikapoor.” The picture was a collage from Rishi as a child star in Mera Naam Joker to his most recent avatar.

Karan Johar, who helped Rishi rediscover himself in a negative role with Agneepath, commented on the post saying, “My absolute favourite actor of all times.” Last week, Neetu Kapoor, in an Instagram note had confirmed her COVID-19 diagnosis.
In her statement, Neetu said, “Earlier this week I tested positive for Covid- 19. All safety measures are being followed and I am thankful to the authorities for all their help and quick response. I am in self-quarantine, taking medication on my doctor’s advice and feeling better. I am so grateful for all your love and support! Please stay safe, wear a mask, keep safe distance. Take care.”
For the uninformed, Neetu had tested negative for coronavirus on December 10, 2020, her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had said. Riddhima shared a selfie with Neetu and wrote in the caption, “Thank you for all your good wishes & prayers – My mother has tested Covid negative today @neetu54.”
The actor was shooting in Chandigarh for Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Her co-star from the movie, Varun Dhawan, has also tested positive for the virus. However, their other co-stars, Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani have tested negative for COVID-19.
